LIFE Comparative Report 2025

Explore a curated collection of research reports, comparative analyses, and practical tools developed within the framework of the project. This section brings together evidence-based findings, national and cross-country insights, and actionable resources to support monitoring, understanding, and addressing online hateful and discriminatory discourse in a rapidly evolving digital environment.

The LIFE Comparative Report 2025 brings together the collective findings of national monitoring efforts conducted across Albania, Bulgaria, Italy, Serbia, and Tunisia, offering a comprehensive cross-country analysis of online hate speech and harmful digital discourse. Building on evidence gathered at national level, the report identifies common trends, emerging risks, and country-specific dynamics, while highlighting good practices and policy-relevant insights. By combining quantitative data with qualitative assessment, the report supports informed decision-making and contributes to a deeper understanding of digital safety challenges, fostering cooperation among civil society, policymakers, and practitioners at both national and European levels.

Successful case

This section presents a documented successful case identified through the LIFE project’s monitoring activities, illustrating how harmful and discriminatory digital discourse can be addressed through coordinated response and institutional action. The case highlights the progression from a public misogynistic statement made in a media setting, through reactions by moderators and hosts, to its documentation, analysis, and formal reporting by a civil society organisation. It demonstrates how systematic monitoring, public accountability, and referral to competent equality bodies can contribute to challenging discriminatory narratives, promoting gender equality, and reinforcing respect for dignity in online and media spaces.

Infographics

This section presents a curated collection of LIFE project infographics, offering a clear and visual overview of key results, activities, and impacts achieved across partner countries. Through concise data visualisation, these infographics highlight project milestones, participation figures, thematic focus areas, and outcomes of LIFE Talks, change projects, and capacity-building actions.
